Weren’t you previously Clarkes South African Kitchen?
Yes, that’s correct! But since December 2021, we took over the business from the previous owners Terri and Brendan Clarke and are now called The Springbok Shelf. We’ll still stock and share the products you’ve come to love, along with a few new additions. Read more about us here (link to about us page).
How can I order? Where can we find you? How does it work?
We are available in many different ways. Find the list below:
- LOCAL: We are located in Åkersberga (Stockholm region), if you want to, you can place your order select “Local Pick up” during checkout and we will arrange a local pick up for you. This means you do not pay any shipping fees.
- ONLINE / POSTAGE: You can order online, and we will ship your package to you. We ship to the whole of Sweden and the whole of Europe. Browse our products here (link to online store)
- REKO: We will start selling some of our fresh products such as boerewors, biltong, etc in the Österåker REKO markets. More Reko markets to come. Keep an eye on our social media channels to read more about this.
When do you ship out orders?
Regular* orders we ship out every week day (Monday - Friday).
If your order contains any frozen products such as boerewors, then we will ship this out on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
*Regular orders: Any order containing products from the online store, or biltong, etc.
Can you post the boerewors?
Yes, we can do this in Sweden! This can also be arranged for Denmark. We hope to start posting boerewors and fresh products in Norway as well.

Which payment methods do you accept?
- For Sweden: We accept Swish, Klarna, PayPal and bank transfer.
- For the rest of Europe/ world: We accept bank transfers and PayPal.

Why can’t you import Niknaks or any chocolates, etc?
Due to import regulations in the EU, we are unfortunately not able to import any products including any dairy, eggs, etc.
